As I turn 60 today I am reminded how blessed I am! Our whole generation of baby boomers has so much that we can take advantage of that our mothers didn’t have available to them.
We don’t have to be stuck in the polyester pull-on pants and frumpy house dresses that many of our mothers wore! Fashion is fun and exciting and I’m looking forward to what is coming ahead on the runways as we enter into 2019! You’re never too old to try new things remember 60 is the new 40!
I was thrilled when Venus asked me to collaborate with them again with their holiday collection. They were so generous to send me 3 beautiful outfits at no charge! A sparkly off the shoulder top and a pair of black skinny jeans, beautiful blue lace and sequence off the shoulder dress with beautiful bell sleeves, and last but not least (WOW) a formal black velvet full-length dress with a small train. I wasn’t sure where I could wear this glamorous dress but my sweet hubby took care of planning an evening which was perfect. We went to the Millennium Biltmore in Los Angeles a beautiful old Hollywood glam hotel for my birthday with dinner and dancing. The next night we went to the W hotel in Hollywood! What a contrast from old to very on trend and modern! I felt like Cinderella on my 60th birthday! Thanks to my husband of 40 years and Venus! It truly was a birthday to remember.
