Comfortable Fashion While Traveling to New York City

Hello friends, we had a great trip to New York City & Virginia this past week.

My husband and I flew to New York City and met my youngest son and our daughter in law for a few days of fun. We only had time to see and do half of what we wanted, so we will certainly make a return trip! It was hot! My MS, and heat and humidity do not mix well. It was 93 degrees with high humidity. I got a little weak in the legs and had some blurry vision. My ankles swelled, (which is why I am not showing them in these pictures). We will definitely go at a cooler time of year next time.

Since it was going to be hot, and we did not want to bother with checking luggage, fashion was limited. I chose things to wear in the heat, could role up to pack, and not wrinkle. I only brought two pairs of comfortable shoes since I knew there would be a lot of walking. I brought a metallic pair of walking sandals by Earth, and a black wedged heel sandal by Clarks Footwear. I will also list a few of my favorite items for the trip such as dresses, chambray off the shoulder top and a striped summer skirt that I took along with me that are not shown in my photos.

Our hotel was a close walking distance from Times Square, so we walked when we could and used taxies and Lift when we needed. We ate good pizza, saw a Broadway musical, had dinner in great restaurants, went shopping, took a stroll in Central Park, took the Fairy to Staten Island, saw the Statue Of Liberty, Park Ave, etc. My favorite was the 65th floor near the Rainbow Room on top of the 30 Rockefeller Center building with an amazing view of the city! We spent a day at The Metropolitan Museum where they had a fascinating designer fashion exhibit and saw many amazing paintings by famous artists from all over the world.

It’s a small world! I ran into Ashley, a follower of my blog while in line for the bathroom. I should have thought to do a selfie with her!

Then, we traveled by train to Richmond Virginia where my son and his wife live. We celebrated him finishing his Master’s at VCU and starting his Ph.D. program with a fun party. We had such a wonderful time and its always hard to say goodbye. We don’t see them as much as we would like.

We had such a wonderful time, but it is good to be home with our two pups and sleep in our own bed again. I am looking forward to things getting back to normal and catching up on sleep!

Thank you all for being patient with me not posting while we wesundressHave a blessed day.
