Jeans, Why These On-Trend Pants Are My Favorites.

IMG_6210

I absolutely love jeans! They are my everyday go-to pant. A great pair of comfortable jeans is my first choice most of the time.  Today’s jeans are so much more comfy and fashionable than they were back in the mid 70’s when I was in High Scool.  Back then it was pretty much Levi’s world. Today our choices are over the top in color, fabrics, brands, styles, and fit.

Today women of any age, shape, size, hight, and personal taste can find a jean that will look great! A jean always keeps us older more mature women looking just a bit more modern and on-trend.

Jeans today can go just about anywhere. From super casual, to the workplace, or dressed up for an evening out. Jeans are a neutral, they go with any color. It does not have to be blue.

Jeans are perfect for every season; spring, summer, fall, and winter. I love the ease of jeans and sandals, the look of them tucked into a great boot in the winter, a sock bootie in the fall, and peep toe heels and booties in the spring.

The same pair of jeans can go from Saturday around the house with flip-flops, go out to dinner that same night with a fancy blouse, sequin blazer, designer heels, pearls, or diamonds! Maybe even from cowgirl to classic for the office. The combinations of outfits you can style with jeans are endless!

Jeans are great for travel, they are easy to care for. Just throw them in the washer and dryer, roll or fold them, and store them in a drawer or shelf.  Some people like to hang them in the closet. Most jeans today don’t even wrinkle. And, they last for years. I still have jeans that are 15 years old and straight leg that never go out of style.

My current favorite brand of jeans are The High waisted Good American Jeans! They fit my curvy shape just perfectly, and they come in so many styles, different washes, and colors. I also love Citizens Of Humanity, Seven for all mankind, Joe jeans, Frame, NYDJ, Top Shop Jeans, Guess, Express and even Old Navy have great jeans for a very affordable price.

I think for mature women, a high waisted jean looks the best. The high waist holds everything in and prevents any muffin top from popping out. They also help create a more hourglass shape and what women wouldn’t want that!

Also, all the different pant legs are on-trend right now. Skinny, straight, boot cut, flare, wide leg, and trouser style jean’s are seen everywhere. So ladies just take your pick.

If you don’t have a great go-to jean I encourage you to spend some time at a few stores trying on 20 or more different styles and brands until you find your match. It’s well worth the work, and don’t get discouraged if you try on 20 to 30 pairs and you still haven’t found the perfect match. Just keep looking and you will eventually find your soulmate pair of jeans. When you do make sure to buy it in 2 or 3 different washes. I recommend everyone has a dark wash, a medium or lighter wash, and a black jean.

As for me I just can’t get enough! I love, love, love jeans! I will link some of my favorite jeans below for your shopping convenience. Have a blessed weekend & happy jean shopping!
