My Flawless “Holy Grail” Makeup Foundation Routine

Hello friends, I’m excited to share my winning foundation combination with you. Everything is available at Sephora. First, I apply my morning skincare of vitamin C serum, hyaluronic acid, moisturizer, and sunscreen.

After skincare, I apply a pore minimizing primer to my T zone (middle of the forehead, nose, the part of my cheeks closest to my nose, and finally my chin, mainly were I see enlarged pores). Then, I apply Lancome La Base Pro to all the other areas of the face. I also put a little Argan oil under my eyes, and to any really dry spots.

Next, I apply Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow instant soft-focus beauty flash all over my face and sometimes even mix a little of it in with my Holly Grail foundation Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Fluid Foundation in shade SP04. I love this foundation for my mature dry skin! Sometimes for a more full coverage look, I mix this foundation with a little bit of the Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer Concealer and foundation.  These two mixed together are perfect for me!!!

Under the eyes, I like Derma Blend professional concealer in Cameo on the inner corners under my eyes and the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Concealer in light over the top of the Derma Blend, and all over my under eye area. This product is very thick. I only use an amount the size of a pinhead,  and this is enough to spread under both eyes, and around the corners of my nose and frown lines that go from my nose to the corners of my mouth.

I then set my under eyes, and T zone with It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores loose power. I use this powder very lightly under my eyes. I use a powder puff (not a brush) to press it into my nose and chin really well. To set the rest of my face, I use Lancome Dual Finish Multi Task Powder foundation. This can also be used as a powder foundation. Its great as a powder because it’s not as dry looking. I  love to have this in my hand Bag for a touch up later if needed.

I follow this with whatever blush contour and highlighter I choose to use. These 3 items change depending on colors, and how I feel. The Primer, Wonder Glow, foundations, concealer and setting powders are the things that do not change because they are what makes my skin look much better than it really does! This foundation combination doesn’t settle into my fine lines or wrinkles! Sometimes at The end of the day at 10:00pm after all day, it still looks so good I almost feel bad washing it off! If you have oily skin, this might not be your winning combination But for dry, tired, old lady skin like mine, it’s my Holy Grail! I hope this helps some of you! XOXOX

  1. Hello!
Great resource here, thank you for sharing!
I am wondering which version of the Lancome La Base Pro you use, there a 3 different ones! And the name of the pore minimizer you use beforehand?
    Thank you! 🙂

    1. Sorry, this has been so long getting back to you. My mail kept kicking it back, so its been hard for me to reply. I use The It Cosmetics By By Pores primer in my T zone and a bluring primer by on the rest of my face. This is what ever I’m curently tying out.
